With Rovers winning tonight and the Hoops already in Europe since they cant finish lower than third, Sligo are now too automatically into Europe.

So Sligo now have two dead league games, before the cup final, will be interesting to see if Cooke decides to start resting players again or what for the run-in?

No. If Bohs win the league and Rovers win the cup, Rovers get the Euro place from the cup and third and fourth in the league get into Europe.

That is not the case, there are examples of it in this season's Europa League, one is: Zenit won the Cup and Sibir, the losers went into Europa League.

Yes it is. Zenit qualified for the Champions League so the cup Europa League place went to the losing finalists. If Rovers don't win the league and do win the cup, the'll take the cup Europa League place.
