View Full Version : Amsterdam Kick off time
Going on what NeilMcD said in an earlier post everyone should get a ticket.Well telling the boys at the golf club that you were in Amsterdam for a meaningless friendly anyone could get a ticket to, doesn't measure up to being in Basel for the group decider, does it?

Who is this aimed at or is it just a genearl comment against people who go to friendlies or what is the point of the comment, Who is it a jibe at. I am not sure who it was aimed at.

Yeah, I was just wondering that myself.
Lad's he was not having a dig @ yerselves, just pointing out that when it come's to the big competative's match's a lot of ticket's seem to go to golf club's by the get up of a lot of the fan's who seem dreesed for the golf course and not football match's and give out about anyone who make's a sound around them while their having a sleep during the match.

To be honest i did not think he was having a go at me, it was just not clear who it was aimed at exactly and i would agree that there is nothing worse than corporate fans going to matches and talking **** about no singing etc.
As Sylvo says, just a pop at the glory-hunters. And I'm not talking about people who can't afford to go to all games. I'm talking about the w*nkers who turn up for the big games with a ticket obtained through some multi-national while others who have been to all the previous away games are left outside. Hence loads of tickets. No offence meant to anyone here...for once! :D

RISSC in London MIGHT have some spares at this friday's meeting in McGoverns (think it is being renamed The Kilburn), Kilburn High Road this Friday at 8:30, although you need to sign up for membership.
What about telling the boys you missed a meaningless friendly for a meaningless group opener?!Having already been to a meaningless friendly,earlier......more memorable for the company than the content(of the game!)More memorable for the cheerleaders along with Zac and Captain Doby's steaming the press box.
Cheque has been cashed so either I receive them or the FAI pocket the cash. :ball: Think that comment regarding golfers earlier was a not directed at anyone in particular but was uncalled for either way.

I received 4 tickets this morning. Its a shame thses games are'nt taken into consideration when they are dishing tickets out for competitive games. Im still happy the tickets have arrived. :)

Sorry petef...uncalled for again, I know.

My handicap of 28 will get me nowhere then.
They've put us in block 413 up behind the goals.
My handicap of 28 will get me nowhere then.At least you've got one. My problem is that the FAI needs an overhaul of its tickteting policy for away games. A proper registration scheme - similar to the FA and SFA - where away tickets go firstly to those that go to the most away games. Putting the tickets in a dubious lottery for blockbookers or handing large amounts over to 'partners' is a joke. Also the number of tickets that supporters' clubs got was also insulting. In Basel I knew people who had been to the three other away games but couldn't even get a ticket off a tout. Anyway, rant over. :)
