Okay just a bit of fun but here goes...
Kieran Westwood (GK): Spurs progressing well and becoming one of the best goalies in the premiership
John O'Shea (LB): Inter Milan Became surplus to requirements in the starting 11 when Mourinho took over from Ferguson at Old trafford. Highly regarded on the continent and opted to join Inter, despite having other options on the continent
Shane Duffy (CB) Everton Growing as a player and a big favourite with the fans at Goodison
Ciaran Clarke (CB) Aston Villa Recently taken over as Villa Captain from Richard Dunne who is no longer a regular in the Villa starting 11
Seaumus Coleman (RB): Everton With Jack Rodwell the darling of the Goodison faithful.
Greg Cunningham (LM): Aston Villa Had to leave Man City for regular first team football and joined West Brom. Made an instant impact and moved to Villa two years later. While he plays in defense for Villa, he plays on the wing for Ireland
David Meyler (CM): Fulham A player that moved with Steve Bruce to Fulham. Highly regarded in the premiership and in international football but not quite seen as good enough for the Top Six
Jamie McCarthy (CM) Liverpool Has taken over the baton from Steven Gerrard as Liverpool captain and one of the top young players in europe
Aiden McGeady (RM) Valencia Did well for 3 seasons with Spartak Moscow but despite a desire to move to the premiership, none of the big 6 took a chance on him and he moved to Valencia in 2013 where he is holding down a place at the Mestalla. However, he continues to be inconsistent for Ireland
Kevin Doyle (CF) Juventus - None of the top 6 in the premiership took a chance on Doyle and he was highly recommended to Juve by former Ireland manager Trappatoni two years ago. Well thought of in Italy
Robbie Brady (Link Striker) Birmingham -Plays on the wing for the Brummies where he moved to from United but owing to the lack of options up front and his attacking abilities he tends to play off Kevin Doyle for Ireland
Subs/squad
Aaron McCarey (GK) - Wolves: Number 1 at the Mollineaux. highly thought off and is unlucky that he has Westwood preventing him from being Ireland number 1
Sean McDermott (GK) - Reading Young enough to break through at Arsenal but has gone on loan to Reading to get first team football
Marc Wilson Plays every game for Stoke in the Championship where he is linked with premiership clubs such as bolton
Sean St Ledger Plays week in week out for Celtic but hasn't reached his potential
Sean McGinty- Man United Well liked by Mourinho and has been on the bench for United in both the premiership and Champions League
Stephen Kelly - Fulham started 20 games in the premiership last year for Fulham
