I thought the coverage yesterday was grand. It was, but it got a lot more build-up and post match analysis than Friday's game.

Rightfully so. It was, after all, the only semi with TWO Dublin sides in it.

pretty sure it was because shams were on and had nothing to do with Pats . This is the only reason I would fear a shams v us final (we'd be against the media ,the ref and the fai) . not sure even we could deal with all that . Having said that it was a crappy game because they didnt allow Pats to play ball . Pats had some lovely passing moments and i feel they and us would give good football entertainment in Aviva . Ye should have had at least 4 so i reckon no problem to ye at home Tuesday . hoping to get ye in final so bast of luck .

Im not sure if your messing Dodge, but what has TWo Dublin sides and a lot better coverage got to do with each other.
Maybe one of the reasons for more coverage for Shams Pats is due to the Sunday afternoon slot.

Awful standard of football at Shams v Pats. Sligo should be able to take either of them in the final.
Coverage of both games was a bit of a joke. 15minutes pre-match and 20 minutes post-match for Shams Pats game. Just 5 minutes pre and 3 minutes post for Bohs Rovers game.
in fairness, it didnt need much longer than 3 minutes to conclude that Sligo played us off the park...

Sorry Dodge wasn't getting upset about it , just pointing out that everything possible will be done to help shams win the cup , league or both . I'm well aware that the media wouldn't give better coverage to a game because there were two Dublin teams in it rather than an aul mucker team :), no wait a minute of course they would but we dont care:pumpkin: . If we keep getting to the final they'll have to show us at least once a year . and if we win it sure they'll have to give more than 3 mins post match coverage and all . delaney must be crapping himself with srfc minnows back in the final 2 years in a row .

As part of RTÉ's Champions League rights, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be able to put football on head to head with TV3's match tonight even if they wanted to. Good news that it's on DAB radio though.

Anyone know what way they are managing the seating for the final, upper or lower decks open (assuming the place wont sell out!). It would be nice to stay dry for a change.

Tom Connolly the ref again, how bizarre a decision is that to keep the same ref (especially one who made such an obvious error) - could definitely lead to accusations at the end of either having a vendetta against one team, or evening it up after the mistake on Sunday. Such an easily avoided situation

Great, fights breaking out at the end of the game on the bloody pitch. Exact same thing happened with Pats fans getting on the pitch and coming down the Rovers end last season at Inchicore. Hopefully a few wannabes will be caught on camera and miss out on a trip to Lansdowne Road.
You'd think the Gardaí would have at least read the various messageboards where Rovers fans were talking about being attacked at the Maldron on Sunday and considered the possibility of some of the knackers deciding to act up, and y'know, actually done something.

By all accounts a Rovers fan ran towards the pats fan with a brolly and a female pats fan ran to give out to him and then it got out of control. Stewards lost control and guards late in getting involved.

Some fans kicked on the ground too.
Still going on.

Whats happening?
Going by radio reports; Some Rovers fans upset about goings on last week ran on the pitch at full time, ran the length of the pitch, threw bottles at the Pats fans behind the goal, Pats fans got on the pitch to fight Rovers fans, Gardaí watched from the stands before ambling on the pitch and suggesting people returned to their seats.
I'm sure fans at the game will have it in better detail later on
