As expected, this was bloody hard work. Bray well organised and came for a nil all or a one nil win and they nearly got it. We missed two clear chances in the first half and they hit the post but when we went one down, it looked like we wouldn't even get an equaliser. Finally, we got a cross into Blinky, who had been winning stuff in the air for fun all night and we were level. Peno was die to bray exhaustion and Keano buried it.
I expect an easier game in Dundalk as they will fancy themselves and come out and play.
I'm going to come at the problem from a different direction by asking the question, what did Ciaran Kelly do wrong that caused him to be dropped?.

What did Ciaran Kelly do right? I thought Gibson did well tonight. He could do nothing about their goal, which was never a free kick, was decisive in everything he did and his distrubition was good. I dont rate Kelly at all, I cringe every time I see his name on the team sheet if I'm honest, and although he isn't perfect I would have Gibson before him any day. I'm open to correction on this but I think we have won every game Gibson has played in, we certainley haven't lost any with him in goal any way.

Yeah, he dealt well with that corner that floated past him in the first half:confused:
I ain't confusing Kelly with Van der Sar but how many games did we lose with him in goal since Brush got injured. I hope you're right about Gibson - he can certainly place a ball. I'll report from Oriel.

I'm not sayin Gibson is perfect but he is the lesser of two evils and I hope I'm right too. Kelly never impressed me as a keeper and I would have Stevie Wonder in goals instead of him!

Kelly was poor on two free kicks that spring to mind.....one against Shams away and one against Bohs at home when he let the ball slip underhim.
