If you mean the '3' that's the sponsor not the actual player number.

I’m definitely a green-at-home man, don’t much like this idea. Expect Russia will be in red so…

Trivia question, when was the last home game (both competitive and friendly) where we did not wear green??

Look at it this way, we havent managed to win big games at home in green of late, so maybe we will in white :)

johnnycee on ybig has put the Irish in White Friday down as a clerical error on the FAI Shop.

F A C T : We are wearing GREEN for both the next 2 games (Russia and Slovakia). The FAI Shop site obviously has an error on the info. The kits went out to be embroidered last week, and it'll be all Green against Slovakia.

The rugby team wear white at home against South Africa (rugby union custom is that the away team gets to wear their preferred strip) and they haven't lost to them in yonks. Worth a go I'd say.

That seems a bit mad, it is surely only a matter of time before the ref books the number 3 when it should have been the number 2 or whatever.

The 3 isn't on the actual shirt, just the replicas.

They did when we played them in Bratislava in 2007, but Slovakia's home kit is normally the al white that they wore vs. Italy in the World Cup. and according to johnnycee on the YBIG forum, that's what they'll br wearing on Tuesday. So Ireland will be in green for both forthcoming matches.

Pretty sure that South Africa have waived this for the game in November, and Ireland will be in green

Yep, which is why we'll lose horrendously. Getting my excuses in early, anyway.

A month late lads. ;)

Was on footballshirtculture.com last night and day this...

This would have been a far superior design.
Change the yellow trim to the gold in use on the home shirt and you've got a winner.

Anyone who lives in the UK can pick this up for £30 at JJB online which seems to be the cheapest I've seen it over here.
