Check out this (http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/unoff-wc.html) link - it's an unofficial world title which works by one team holding the crown until they're beaten in a senior international, when the team they lose to take over the title. It goes back to the very first international, and the title is currently held by Ireland, courtesy of Robbie Keane's las-minute goal against the Czechs last month! So Ireland-Romania next month is our second defence of the title we've only held once before - in 1977 or so.

There's three "unofficial titles", working on slightly different criteria - really interesting to see Netherlands Antilles as the title holders ot Liechtenstein challenging!

I "know" the three chaps who did, and none of them are "retarded."

This is the official site: http://www.ufwc.co.uk/

BTW - Since we beat England we hold the crown in rugby too. :)
