Mervue are scrapping for their first division lives and we stil have alot of injury problems now including lee roach so this should prove to be a very tough one but hopefully wel pull through and with harps and athlone drawing tonight we can get closer to our season objectives

I haven't been on here in a good while!! Looking forward to tonights game. Agree with what you said above Outspoken. Mervue always give us a tough game. A win tonight leaves us level with Harps and 3 behind Youths. More importantly we'll be 6 ahead of Athlone. 7th spot is not beyond us.

i believe Evan Connolly is no longer playing with mervue.. Mervue are on a brutal run of form think they has lost the last eleven league games.. I would stay on the fence and go for a 1-1 just to keep us ahead of Athlone..

Poor performance, bad result. Said it before but lester is not fit, in the second half there was at least 3 occasions he was caught playing a man onside. again not playing players in their best position is costing us. Vik shouldnt be playing, and roche should be starting. Freeman is a liability, and why the manager persists in him over oladele i will never know. Conlon again very erratic and although made two very good saves, his kicking was poor, and never inspired confidence in goals.
Hoping for a better performance next week in el classico!

We all know I'm lesters biggest fan but I've got to agree with u cabs he was shocking last night his worst ever performance in the red and black I'd say as for conlon terrible mistake but his 2 saves kept us in the game and as for athlone a point will do

It's a contendor alright but it's going to take alot to beat hynes 30 yard bullet vs cork , hylos strike was so impressive tho especially when you take into account that another town player was in his way at the time

We're keeping the show on the road due our massive profits from last season.

Hynes goal v Finn Harps would be my goal of season, 30 yards out won 1 nil valuable points and fantastic strike.
Just on the mervue game, yes we were poor but again we now have more points than last year which is improvement and thats all we can ask for. I think certain people get carried away with what we realistically can achieve.
Two minutes into the game we give the ball away the bad language comes out and the abuse starts. I understand frustration but we got to cut this crap out, cousins has mentioned it in his programme notes and people have shouted at each other at the games to cut it out, its not what been a fan is about. Come on two minutes into the game come on what chance have they got if were jumpin on them that early. I also heard 'this is the worst I've ever seen I want a refund', you should have been there in the abbeycarton days when a point was an outstanding result for us.
Keep the Faith come out and support the team not abuse them!!!

Thank you Tallanted. I've been sitting in the stand for the last ten years and its sickening to hear the slurry that is coming from the stand in recent times. I've had my own fair share of rants, and abuse slinging, but I've always had the decency and soundness to keep them to myself, or chew my friend's ear off about it, but never did I shout such abuse towards the team. And I'm not trying to start anything hear, but outspoken, wherever you came out of, you're one of the worst.
