Tony Tynan has been afforded a month to prove that he is good enough to earn a contract at Shelbourne following an impressive League Cup debut against Shamrock Rovers on Monday.
The 20-year-old was released by Cork City recently after he failed to make one appearance this season under manager Liam Murphy.

"I was happy enough with how Tony did against Shams. He looked lively and got by people," Reds boss Dermot Keely told Neil O'Riordan of the Irish Sun.

"It was a difficult game to come in for because it wasn't a settled team. We had a lot of young players in the side but he did okay.

"I have signed him for a month and it's up to him whether he stays longer than that. He will have to work on his overall game," Keely added.
