Excellent! He can manage the team and hawk the players around to any interested parties at the same time!

Shame we can't field a fully representative XI anymore, the establishment of an eL XI for friendly games and tours should be a priority, in my opinion.

Why didn't Stuart Ashton get the Manager job given hes won the u-21 league twice on the bounch. He didn't even get the assistant role.

For what? An eL team? If so, publicity, exposing the players to a higher standard of football (which would stand them in good stead for international duty/European games) and the fact that they'd probably do very, very well.

I see the tournament will be in cork as part of the City of Culture(can't really see the connection but anyway) celebrations.

Something to look forward to for next season as european football is looking unlikely at the moment.
