Extremely disappointing. Japan were the better team overall, but it's heartbreaking to lose on the back of such an awful refereeing error.

Hard luck to the girls. The penalty decision was criminally bad really. We always seem to get the wrong end of these crap decisions at all grades. It would be easier to accept being hammered.

Fell asleep during half time (too many hours of a time difference) woke up at 6am here. Sick, there had to have been an instruction to make sure as many Asian teams get through as possible, and Spain. Otherwise the referee is a complete incompetent!

Japan defeated North Korea 2- 1 to make the WC Final where they will play South Korea. Having watched the game, Japan are a very skillful and talented team and it showed me just how good the standard and efforts of the Irish girls were.
