Guards called after trouble at the Guns N'Roses concert tonight. Band came out late, people got annoyed and started throwing stuff at the band apparently. Axl got a pint thrown at him, refused to play again until booing stopped, got a bottle thrown at him and then they walked off just 22minutes in.

Concert still going on...but a lot of people have gone/couldn't get back in.

Can never understand how people can throw bottles at a band they paid good money to see, silly. Band right not to play on

Apparently "The artist was prevented from leaving the venue by the Promoter." (http://www.rte.ie/ten/2010/0902/gunsnroses.html)

Your man is an utter, utter plank.

Agree with your point completly. But I can never understand the ego that allows you to leave a crowd of thousands for an hour standing waiting for you.

Don't agree with that, but they're nothing more than a sham now - anyone who paid money to see them/him at this stage deserves what they get.

I heard it was Slash who threw the bottle on stage screaming "you're not me! YOU'RE NOT ME!!!"

Sounds like the fans had an appetite for destruction.

Shouldn't that band be called "Guns N' Rose-ish"

I said it should have been called "The Guns N' Roses Experience, featuring Axl Rose"

Friend of mine was at it and is writing to MCD to get a refund. Best of luck.
I was at Slane last year, and know people who were at the debacle that was AC/DC at Punchestown, and to the the best of my knowledge nobody who went to either gig was refunded anything.

Why is anyone surprised? I mean, the people that went. Axl's karaoke has been doing this since the early 2000's. Even last weekend they were late for Reading and Leeds. There's no excuse for him being late. He's that far removed from reality just get someone to change his watch so he thinks he's going to be an hour late on stage.

Yeah this is my point I have very little sympathy for anyone who was willing to pay to see that egomaniac. And as long as people keep going to his gigs or buying his albums and other merchandise his attitude isn't gonna change
