Some transfer news for Irish football fans as skysports.com understands Sligo Rovers striker Padraig Amond could be set for a move to Portugal with Pacos Ferreira. Sligo have accepted an undisclosed fee for Amond, who is the current top scorer in the Airtricity League.

If this is true - and there's no reason to think it isn't - it's a pity. You'd imagine priority no 1 would have been to keep him in place for the run-in. This looks like we might have stretched our budget a bit, and got a decent offer from Ferrero Rocher.

Nope (why would the money be in the chairmans pocket and not the treasurers?) Im sure if he was 100% on his way he will not be permitted to play to obviously avoid picking up an injury.

it was in one of the sunday papers today that if he moves to the ukthat he can go at a much reduced price than what is on offer at the moment.. I believe it is in his contract..
