What will the new nationals stadium look like ?

Will it looks like the stadium that Porto have ? (have you seen the match last night?) I hope so because Porto had a beautiful stadium and a great green pitch with a great atmosphere (apart from the futball). I think the capacity last night was 50,000. Will we have a roof?

Think its based on Huddersfield's McAlpine Stadium

Each of the four stands will be completely covered by a sweeping, translucent roof that would minimise the effects of the weather

It sounds great, not a full roof but enough for the supporters.

its similar to Porto i think (with the new turf) stadium of Porto (http://www.portugal2004.pt/images/estadios/03_dragao/03_2003/03_0312/3_0312_118_ob_g.jpg)

A statement from the Irish government also said they would back the phased delivery of a sports academy at Abbotstown which has been sought by the FAI.

This is expected to include a small ground with a capacity of around 10,000.

And are they building (bulit?) this also ? magnificant

Abbotstown will never happen.

Irish Stadium should be similar enough to Portos but with a lower roof.

btw that Porto stadium has a very high roof.
