mervue 0 limerick 1 tracey pen 52

i thought limerick played well we should of been 3 or 4 goals up at half time we missed some big chances. second half was pretty much the same we won a pen on 52mins after that we had another 4 or 5 good chances to put mervue away o flynn missed a pen in the 90mins drove it wide. missed chances could of been costly on another night but mervue were very poor long ball after long ball everytime poor team. my man of the match would be o sullivan in the middle i thought yet again he was excellant really starting to hit form won alot of ball.
must give a mention about the cowards tackle on david o leary towards to end two footed off the ground and did not even get booked a joke it did not look good for o leary had to be carried off the field.

Fair play to the away support, you could be heard singing at the end of the match a mile away in the Newcastle area of Galway !

A few pictures from the game are availible here (http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=67450492&postcount=221), Foot only allows me to post 3 images at a time, so I cba doing it.

Should have killed Mervue off in the first 15 minutes with at least 2 or 3 goals. Longer it went on, the flatter it went and thought they might nick one on the break. Purcell and Rogers were superb and solid as usual - If only that bicycle kick from Paddy had stayed down :D Steve O started well, but gradually looked out of touch with the game. Good turnout up at Terryland from the Limerick faithful.

Beat Derry next week and only 4 points in it. It's good being the form team in the division :)

Hope this is right. It was a sickener.

Great win could easily have been 6 but the penalty that won it was very soft.

Made up for the stonewall penalty a yard inside the box that was given outside in the first half.

I thought we were very good 1st half, created alot of chances, just were not able to finish. Second half we were ok, got a break with the peno's because It didnt look like we were going to score from play. We def desereved to win, Mervue are shocking. They just lofted long balls in the general direction of thier ginger striker all night. Bobby Ryan, O'Sullivan and Clarke all played very well and Rodgers and Purcell were solid at the back. Thought it was hillarious with the second peno, when Kelly rushed over to book Clarkey for diving, but then saw that the lines man had flagged and moved into position for the peno to be taken. What a moron.

The echo in Terryland for a Mervue game can be heard in Ennis.

So O'Leary's out for three weeks? (see Derry thread) Fuming now after that joke of a decision after the tackle!
