She was 7th in the 400m IM yesterday. She also won European junior medals last year (first ever Irish person to do so)

The British girl Rachel Adlington is world record holder and will be favourite. Grainne wil need the swim of her life to get a medal

That was gutting!!! Was fighting for silver but Pellegrini ended up pipping her for Bronze. 0.04 out of bronze 0.05 out of silver. Great swim, super future ahead of her no doubt.

Murphy into the 1500m final now after another impressive swim this morning. Fastest Qualifier by 2.5 secs and another Irish record. Lets hope she can round off an incredible week with a medal.

And silver when beaten by the world champion in her first senior championships is a terrific performance. In swimming terms she's bang on track for London 2012
