Will comment further on the new league structure (Premier A > Premier B > D1A > D1B > D2A > D2B) when details finalised, but six new teams are joining 2B this year:
FC Valentia, Clanmaurice FC, Sceiliga FC, CSKA Tralee, Shanakill FC and Castlemaine United B.

Celtic beat Athletic 4-0, so they look to be the team to beat again this season, Tralee Celtic beat Camp 1-0 in the other Premier match.

All the rumours that half their squad were moving to Dynamos didn't help, and neither did Hennessey changing codes, apart from their striker Mousserine, they're building a new team.

Steve Conway gone to America . Who is Shane Brosnan playing with this year.
Shane Brosnan is training with St Brendans Park but they have not played yet so thats not confirmed if he is playing with them
At the moment they dont have a Manager and play their first league game tomorrow night against Castleisland
Tralee Celtic could be a team to watch this season, added some new players and a new coach also.

they play in division 2A and can be a very tricky team when they have a full squad of players.but trying to get a full squad can be a problem for most teams these days.

Classic Fc play in the top Division of the kerry district league. they were only formed about 5 years ago and have gained promotion every year. They play there matches in the Kerry district league grounds, in mounthawk park in tralee. they have played 2 league games so far this season and are still unbeaten.

Lisselton Rvs 2 Shannon Olympic 3 .Major shock – Liselton took the lead through Moulsim mid way through first half but a Jason Regan rocket from 30 yards leveled for shannon, 1-1 at half time. Rovers retook the lead again when Timmy O’Sullivan scored from Chris Wallace corner made it 2-1 but they conceded a goal to Ray Quigley who levelled and then with five minutes to go Quigley got the winner for shannon. big shock.

Excuse my ignorance - (collector of Juunior League trophy data), does this mean the KDL now has one top division ? Or are they still persueing with play-off between Prem A & Prem B champions for overall League Champions ?
For 2009/10 aware that Killarney Celtic won their respective Prem but how did play-off go ? (Can't find any details), also how did Greyhound Cup (believe principle County Cup) go ?
Final Question - If Prems A & B are equel standing how is the composition of each division determined ? Geographically of an open draw each season.

Where did that comment come from. Yes one top division last two years think killarney celtic won it last year .Plus they won the principle cup last year and have the best youths team in kerry this year . If kerry had proper media coverage it would be no secret.

The Premier "A" Division is the top division in kerry soccer. The top 2 teams from this division play off in a final to decide who will be crowned champions. this has been done since 2003.Premier "B" is a seperate division where the top to win promotion to premier "A"
Killarney Celtic were crowned Premier "A" champions last season when they beat Liselton rovers 1-0 in the final.
Killarney Celtin won the Greyhound bar ko cup (principle cup) when tey beat Killarney Athletic 1-0 in the final.
The Castle bar cup (kerry league cup) was won by St Brendans park who beat Killarney Celtic 1-0 in the final.

So a team could possbly walk a season and win Premier Division by a mile but lose Championship on an unrequired play-off (ie Teams not level on points) . (Has that happened ?).

Ya you are correct that a team could be top of the league table on points at the end of a season but still lose the play off final. last season the 2nd and 3rd teams finished level on points and had to play off to see who would advance o the finals.Yes you are also correct that after the 2001-2002 season two teams finished level on points , they had to play off for the final( st Brendans park v Lisowel Celtic) this game finished level and had to be replayed. the crowds at these games was estimated to be nearly 2000 so the Kerry league taught it was a great way to generate money. Every division now in kerry has a play off final to see who will be crowned champions.
Kerry league has a new web site but no historty on it off past winners, if u would like i could find out for you who won these titles, how far back would you like to go back.
