Also its great to see Limerick are having trials for under 17s and 18s. Looks like they got into the leagues. Might shut a few people up. Would be nice to see teams at all levels as the years go on. Home pitch next and the club is seriously flying it with or without promotion this season.

Limerick FC is delighted to announce that Thomas Heary and Bobby Ryan have signed with the Club for the rest of the 2010 season.
Also, the following players have agreed professional terms with Limerick FC until the end of the 2011 season:

Jason Hughes has moved to Athlone Town on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2010 season.

Daryl Kavanagh has been released? I cannot see the point in that, he is our best midfielder and plays very well up front as well. If Scully is trying to build a squad for promotion, I dont see the point in releasing Kav, even with the new signings.

They were refused admission to the local league by LDMC and they are currently awaiting an appeal in Cork. Those youth players currently playing under 20's with Limerick are affiliated to a LOI team therefore cannot also play within the juristiction of the LDMC leagues as there would be a case of dual registration and Limerick would be leaving themselves wide open to objections. You obviously cannot play in two different leagues.

As the general public are aware we only have to referance the pike rovers and carew park fiascos of recent times as the LDMC were unaware of the rules of both cases. for your information, and sorry for being so knowledgeble....would it not be the case that the majority of the players playing in the under 17 league are allready registered to a seperate and second league, ie the limerick district schoolboy leagues at under 15/16 age groups!!further to that certain teams in the county play in the LDMC under 17/18 league, while their schoolboys at under 15/16 play in the limerick desmond schoolboy league, limerick county schoolboy league and even as far away as the cork schoolboy league. These LDMC clubs that i refer to, have players registered at under 17 level in the LDMC league and also these same players are registered for their local schoolboy leagues which are a seperate entity to the LDMC league. I wont call it duel reg but same player playing for same club but in two differing leagues. This is common practice amoung clubs, and you can use the Athlone situation as a precedent to this case where a player reg to athlone town fc is also reg to the DDSL for athlone under 16s. Naive??? a simple salution is, to reach an agreement with limerick so that all clubs would recieve their forms for the under 17/18 leagues a month before limerick receive theirs therefore curtailing limericks ambitious, and obligitory (uefa and club licencing requirments)

Kav was very good but could have done it more.

Ya, I knew there was a reason and I have since been told that it def was a valid one. Still, very disappointed to see him leave though. There are several players that can slot in there but for a team chasing promotion we need serious competition for places. Although Kav took too much out of the ball, he was still our best winger IMO. People are complaining about the form of Tracey at the moment and although Kiely did start well, he has started to fade out in recent games, which is a worry now Kavs gone. That been said if its best for the team its hard to argue with it.
