Few bets for me today from the 2 big festivals either side of the Irish Sea.
GALWAY:
6.20 - My Valley - .5pt @9/1
Small bet on this one, got word for it, decent record at Galway, fallen down the weights, another few pounds taken off by the jockey.
7.00 - Maundy Money - .5pt e/w @10/1
Loves Galway, placed twice last year at the festival, won twice the year before. Hasn't won in 2 years but signs of a return to form 2 starts ago. Speculative bet.
8.05 - Fit The Cove - 1pt win @6/1 - NAP on the card
Another one who loves it at Galway, won twice here last year, fallen down the weights recently with some rubbish performances, but was 3rd @12/1 in his latest outing in Naas so signs of a return to form. Good 3lb claimer on board in Danny Mullins as well.
GOODWOOD:
2.10 - Australia Day - 1pt @6/1
Ran them ragged recently in a big hurdle race at Market Rasen. Hasn't won for over a year on the flat, but that was at the same trip as today, with the same jockey on board in Martin Dwyer. Lots of horses that you could make a case for but this is the one I fancy to take it.
2.45 - Dandino - 1pt @5/1
Extremely progressive sort who has won all 4 starts this year, and has won me a nice few quid along the way. Been winning handicaps lately, but steps up to Grade 3 company here, but his rapid progression during the season makes me feel he can make this step up.
Also done a .5pt double on the above 2.
Took those prices a while ago, dunno if they're still around.
