I was just wondering if there were any LOI magazines out there. Or any good sites at least??

Not sure about a magazine, as far as know there is none. Do people on here think there would be a decent demand for one if it was published?

Most people on here are probably aware of these sites mention below.

The best website is probably extratime.ie: http://www.extratime.ie/

Monday night soccer site is okay: http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/mns//

Then there is the Airtricity league official website: http://www.airtricityleague.com/index.php

This conversation pops up every year or so. OnSide magazine was launched two or three years ago but I don't think was a financial success. Since then there have been none unfortunately. eleven-a-side.com was also a good website until a few months back when they converted it into a forum.

Every now and again, someone posts here with great ambitions for a league magazine, but the market just isn't there. Magazines everywhere are struggling with falling advertising revenue and competition from the internet. A new magazine with a small market just isn't financially viable.

As an unemployable, I will seriously put together the greatest blog the world has ever seen if anyone wants to contribute to it.

If you can write, email extratime, maybe with a sample of your writing and a brief CV if you have relevant experience (like writing for a Lims programme or something). I don't know if they need writers, but it's better to build on what's there than add yet another blog no one reads.

I'd imagine he was being sarcastic. (A clue is in the top left of the post, where it says "Lim Til I Die"). I took it as a joke arising from your mention of great ideas which aren't followed through on here. Though maybe he was being serious. It just doesn't sit well.

Probably. My sarcasm meter has been on the fritz for days. Regardless, the advice is serious for anyone with an interest in the subject - many of whom have read or will read the thread.

I'm afraid my interests - Limerick and winding people up - are a bit too limited for extratime.

Stu, you shame me!! :(

Complete nonsense.

When you figure out how to use a spell-checker and s'top putting apos'trophe's everywhere, then you may be taken s'erious'ly.

You can hardly talk. I can see 5 unnecessary apostrophes in the second sentence alone!
