Interesting I hadn't noticed that.

I had heard we were playing a mid ranked team at home in November and Norway certainly qualify on that score.

More Indo BS.

As for Ingerland, unless we get drawn together otherwise in a Euros/WC, let's leave it until say 2030.....

Do Norway owe us a home friendly after we played them away before the start of the previous campaign??

I love how they dug themselves out of this one.

HAVING failed to secure a glamour tie with England (http://www.independent.ie/topics/United+Kingdom), the FAI (http://www.independent.ie/topics/Football+Association+of+Ireland) were forced to settle for a significantly less appetising November 17 friendly as they announced Norway (http://www.independent.ie/topics/Norway) as the opposition for the vacant international date later this year.

In other words:

HAVING failed to convince anyone that the FAI wanted to secure a glamour tie with England (http://www.independent.ie/topics/United+Kingdom), the Irish Independent were forced to settle mere hours later for a significantly less appetising November 17 friendly as the FAI announced Norway (http://www.independent.ie/topics/Norway) as the opposition for the vacant international date later this year.

When is the first Euro qualifier anyway?

We play Argentina on Aug. 11 to prepare for our first pair of qualifiers, on Sept. 3, in Armenia, and Sept. 7, at home to Andorra.

'Glamorous' ?? Hassle, more like. Anyway another meaningless, space-filling friendly, regardless.
