Game abandoned after 90 mins, ref and regional wanted game to go straight into penaltys as pitch was "unplayable" even tho 90mins had already been played and Hibs wanted extra time.How can the Ref get away with this ? On all cards for cup Competions it will state extra time and penaltys.
Shannon hibs have the right to say they want to play the extra time.This would of been an extra 20mins play. What is the outcome of the game been abandoned does anybody know.

referee has to make a decision on pitch is it safe to continue playing... if he thought pitch was unplayable after 90 mins ,, cannot see any logic in wanting game to go straight to penalties .. if unsafe to play 20 mins extra time on then surely it must be the same for penalties.. by all accounts in the pub after match should never had started as pitch was unplayable before start of game and both teams very surprised referee said pitch was playable .. god only knows what the outcome of abandoned game will be when the ldmc make a decision :confused:

Ya hibs dominated most of the 2nd half, game should have been over after 90mins had they taken there chances. Cant wait to see the LDMC's outcome, surely Hibs cant lose home advantage can they?

great decision from Charleville not to go up to 2b after finishing third and beaten in the final last year, it has been a great season so far for them and i hope they can do it tomorrow and win the league too, a very good side that play nice football

delighted with result in the cup..shannon strong side great to come from 2 down though..3 more cup finals now to go shud be interesting

I watched extra time. Hibs had a one on one to win it but yer keeper made a good save. I have to say the trophy was a lovely one to win. Shannon must be gutted being 2 up and losing.
