On the bbc site, when I'm in the UK, I can use BBC Iplayer to watch BBC 1 etc live online.

Does rte do a similar thing?

Thinking about the world cup games that are on during working hours. ;)

Yes, though many of their broadcasts are Ireland only. This can be solved with an Irish proxy though.

The RTE player is for archived stuff. (http://www.rte.ie/player (flash based)

The live streams are through http://www.rte.ie/live and work with realplayer of windows media.

Oh and every world cup game is live on rte.ie and deemed ROI only

Woner will they have the games up on their site for viewing afterwards? Might not be able to see all the games!

They don't have any commentary though - just licking between England-Oz and the dog eaters and men lovers (hope I'm not sanctioned for those broad racial stereotypes :-) ). Actually I should say fcekin' greeks like from Fr. Ted.

edit: Just browsed through the channels section and found RTR from Russia, and our own RTE, so listening to Rico telling about how disjointed the greeks are.
