Ah an alliance? Between YBIG and Footy? I was always wondering if it might occur.
Still, this post just asking for $$, it may not be a bad thing.
Some will like it, some will hate it.
Some will view this as an advertisement.
Some will say some need an examination from Dr Peepee.
Whatever the case, in my opinion the two greatest Irish Websites of all time, Foot.ie, and YBIG, merge.
A fan page of travel info and BS and all else....
The possibilities are endless......

Its a very good read for any sports fan and particularly anyone interested in Irish football. Therefore, the more distribution the better.

I know its enforced off season for us poor souls, but its been very quiet around here in recent times.

I can assure you Crosby that a serious amount of work goes into that with so financial reward
Online advertising is a dead market at the moment

Maybe in the future it may make something, and it will be just reward for the amount of time and effort that goes into it.

I think it is a unique brand with excellent reading in it

I don't think there was ever a financial reward, they got advertisements for the Star and the like, but I think they were in the red when they were doing the mags. When I was over in November I offered to help hand out mags before the game only to find out they're only doing online mags now (I can only assume financial difficulties). All of the stories and interviews come from forum members and people with connections to players.

Damn shame what happened to their forum though. Foot.ie is great but despite both being Irish supporter's sites ybig's forum used to be a completely different perspective on things, almost like a greatly expanded Foot.ie Fans Forum. I'm still not over the loss of it :(

Worm doesn't like some of the newcomers! It's still top notch Worm, come back!

And the printed version will hopefully still be around when the Euros start - all d;epends on if the funding is there to cover the costs

Great work by the lads on YBIG, another great online issue.

They all put a lot of hard work into trying to make the atmosphere better at games, organising dispays, singing section etc...

Good to see supporters making an effort. Enjoy the forum as well.
