I only could come up with a few names off the top of my head, but could anyone fill a team with people who can be considered "Villains" to the Irish team

Dudu "Roll on the ground like a ****" Aouate in goal
Stephen Manchester in midfield
and Schillaci and Henry up front.

Maybe Don Givens can be the manager.

Probably missing some obvious ones, who can you think of?

Goran Stavreski at CB?

To this day, I seriously have to look away when we concede a corner late in a game.

Going for an attacking 2-3-5 formation. Can't remember too many defenders that have offended us.

GK - Dudu Awat

CB - Goran Stravevski (Macedonia '99)
CB - Ozalan Alpay (for picking a fight with Cascarino in '99)

MF - Belgian guy who dived for their winning free-kick in 1981. Wasn't born then, but it seems like just as big an outrage as Henry. Can't remember his name; could have been Van Moer.
MF - Zvonimir ('Ireland are the worst team I've ever seen') Boban. Quote from after the Zagreb game in 1999.
MF - Peter Stoger

FW - Wim Kieft/John Atyeo
FW - Thierry Henry
FW - Alexander Frei
FW - Luc Nilis
FW - Gary Lineker (His goal in Poland in 1991 eliminated us from Euro '92 - a tournament we had a genuine chance of winning)

Manager: Michel Platini. Just don't like the fat b*****d.

Dishonourable mention for Denis Wise who scored their winner away to Turkey with his hand in that campaign. The goggle eyed midget. And they never crapped on about that despite their serial whninging about the hand of God.

And Roy the boy has to be captain in centre mid as well.

4th official could be the guy that wouldn't let Aldo come on against Mexico in 94

The bulgarian, whose name escapes me, who got Liam Brady sent off at Lansdowne in 1987. Resulted in a 2 match suspension from Euro 88. I know Brady was injured for the finals as well - but still!!!!!

Billy Bingham, for his antics in Windsor Park, 1993

Couldn't say who got Bradsy sent off, but as a semi interseting aside hristo stoichkov made his international debut in that game.

Really? It was shown on TG4 a few years back and I would have swore Jimmy Magee gave me that peice of information?

Unless ... Jimmy Magee couldn't have been wrong, could he??

Big Jack was livid when Brady got sent off anyway. Gave you the distinct impression that his only regret was that Liam didn't hit him harder

It was Sadkov that got Brady sent off.

"The Irish dominated the match and got a deserved win in an ill-tempered game. The dark cloud was Brady's sending-off for a retaliation on Sadkov after he was fouled. A combination of a suspension and injury meant that Brady would miss the European Championships".

He'd made his debut the month before (http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/stoichkov-intlg.html).
