He was offered a contract before last season, even played in a few pre-season games, but turned it down as it was performance based. He didn't seem to have a lot of confidence in his ability.

He turned it down because of work commitments. They have changed this year which is why he went to Waterford. He was talking to United before us last season, but things just didn't work out. Good luck to him is what I say.
