This has to be a record to go from the Showgrounds in Sligo to Wembley in London in less then a year and a half.

It took Lawrie Sanchez 10 years to achieve the managerial equivalent. He left the Showgrounds in 1995 and went on to manage Northern Ireland in Wembley versus England in March 2005.

I was thinking of Lawrie as well - went from scoring the winner in the FA Cup final against Liverpool to managing at the Showgies. Now there's a real honour.
