Surely this would be sorted by now!! Who has gone for the position? Have the interviews been held? When will the new candidate start the Job?? Local Wicklow league finals are on this week. Has the club done anything to promote the club at these finals?? Perfect opportunity. Do they even know the finals are on???

New Club Promotion Officer

Bray Wanderers are pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Gordon as the clubs new Club Promotion Officer.

Speaking to braywanderers.ie General Manager Jack O'Neill said "I would like to welcome Frank to the club and have no doubt his expertise will be a great addition to us. Frank is a local and grew up close to the Carlisle and has many exciting ideas that will bring the club to the next level"

Frank Gordon said " I am really looking forward to the challenge. Bray Wanderers is such an integral part of Bray and has a great reputation as a community club. I think that the benefit of having an Airtricity Premier Division club in the town is something that many other towns of our size would be envious of. I will be working tirelessly to ensure that the club continues the progress it has made over the last number of years".

So what has this guy achieved in his position so far??? Did he have an input in this Gala night? The book? Was he there last night. Haven't heard much else other than the Banners!?

That's strange i was thinking the same myself the other day and was going to post similar...

Don't think he had anything to do with the Gala night and certianly wasn't there on the night. No input into the book and AFAIK he doesn't even go to all of the games. Also, AFAIK he didn't do the banners either, that was one of the ex-CPOs !!!!!!!

Really seems to have brought nothing to the table so far.

Our schoolboy club hasn't heard a word from him since he got the job, completely the opposite to Anto and Aidan before him. I e-mailed him once but never even got a reply. Do the FAI pay his wages, does he exist??

Big game on Sunday against Drogheda so a chance to make a name for himself. There were a few groups of schoolkids at the UCD match but I don't know if it was down to him. One group were singing.

And singing. And singing. Great to see the kids having a good time though

("The referee's from UCD" hehe)

So do I but I'm not getting paid to be there, surely he should be more high profile than that?

I think you may be thinking of the wrong guy.... I've stood with him for a few (maybe 9 or 10 games) games chatting about stuff and ideas i have to help (promotions or design work that needs doing)

Just a thought; Could the club start having more visible "official partners"? I was in Super Valu today, they have big exposed rafters up at the top. It' be really good for exposure if we could give them some unsold advertising space at the ground, in exchange for having a big banner up there along the lines of "Proud Partners of Bray Wanderers F.C."

But what's he actually done since taking up the job? You're giving him ideas, is he acting on them?

Well i know he came up with the banners idea for the main street, organised to have them put up etc and i designed them for him. Excellent idea. And i know from speaking with him several clubs he contacted with ideas didn't want to do them.

i know frank, the lad who runs the comedy club in bray and dalkey. i see him most games walking along the DART side of the ground where i sit. i think its unfair to judge him so early on in his job.

Who's judging him? I'm defending the guy, i know Frank myself and am always there to help or offer advice for him, we've worked on a few things together already
