As pointed out by a number of people before the season I agree that the FAI were wrong to reinstate Bray to the top flight.

By all rights we (Longford Town Fc) should have been brought up when derry and cork folded. And while we wouldn't have faired any better than Bray have this season I reckon this proves the FAI need to shake up the LOI structure. I know alot of people have mentioned as 16 team premier Division but I dont think that is a good idea. The reason I dont think its a good idea is because as it stands we only have 22 teams in the Premier and 1st Division. So a 16 team Premier division would mean only 6 teams would be left in the 2nd tier of Irish football. So that means we would have to bring up several A Championship sides which in my opinion would damage the 1st Division Extremely (dont get me wrong the A championship is very important and im not having a go at it).

So I think the more logical solution is turn the Premier Division back into a 12 team league and have 10 teams back in the 1st. This in turn would make the premier Division far more exciting and the 1st division would become far more competitive which would lead to better teams being promoted which would be great newx for the standard of football in the Premier Division. You could say every thing turns full circle but basically it would be great for everyone involved in the LOI.

What do you all think?

Don't see how Longford could have jumped the queue to get in ahead of Bray

This has got to be a joke, hasn't it?

Not only do Bray have more right than Longford, so do Shels, Waterford, Monaghan, Wexford, Limerick and Finn Harps

It's weird how sometimes it's so hard to tell a troll from a moron.

3 divisions of 7 teams is what we need - throwing out whatever club produces the worst DVD

22 divisions of 1 team each. Promotion and relegation decided by DVDs. Monkey knife fights optional

One of the greatest jumps in logic i have ever seen. While I would have loved if that happened, it is ludicrous beyond belief. There are many teams that deserve it ahead of us.

A 12 Team Premier and a 10 team First with th same movement for the A championship. Split the league the same way as the SPL towards the end of the season.

Scrap the LOI and start again.

^ And if that can't happen, i'd scrap the 1st division, revert to a 16 PL with the A Championship underneath.

Take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to make sure

I think he's had enough ridicule at this stage.

Kieran, try thinking more and posting less.
