Lads can anyone tell me why the likes of michael grangel, leighton gleeson, eugene o brien, and paul murphy are not playing for the youths? these are some of the best players in wexford at the moment hence the oscar trainers reeching the final this year yet non of these ever played for the youths?
Mick said the youths are a community team based on players from every parish in wexford yet the best players in wexford are being left out and players from other counties being brought in instead.
Any explainations?:confused:

They all had the opportunity to attend trials when the club was formed, and I think a few of them did. Many opted out when they were made aware of the commitment that would be required training and travelling wide. It's unfortuante that they're not involved but they can't be forced either. There's bee a large turnover of players in the squad due largely to the the amount of time that has to be committed. Hopefully a few of them will be approached after the Oscar Traynor is finished to see if they might be interested now.

i presume its the same Paul Murphy that did play for us until he got injured? Im sure if any of them asked they'd be welcomed into the fold.

No im talking about paul murphy that was over with ipswich brother of jason murphy who left youths aswell
under strange circumstances. They have to ask to get into team? :confused:

from what i heard paul murphy (ipswich) was asked to play for wexford youths and even trained with them with first came back to Ipswich but he want to play premier LOI. as the other paul murphy who did play with us he got injured and he never back into team not sure why to be honest both would be assets to the team.

some of the other players mentioned are good players but as passing interest mentioned many do not have the time to give which is a shame maybe in the future (hopefully near future) then may change there minds
