Dia duit everyone.

I've been offered a position as a Managing Editor for the EA Sports football game titles FIFA 2005 and Total Club Manager 2005 - specifically for the "Irish League" (I assume they mean FAI, as that is the only Irish league they have included in the past). I applied for SPL and eL, but being Australian, as far as eL and non-Old Firm SPL clubs go, I rely heavily on online sources for my information - i.e. I don't get to many games!

I wish I could leave my job to someone who is actually based in Eire and regularly attends games, but as of yet there is no such person - thus the eL has been much maligned in TCM titles and completely excluded from FIFA titles. So the only reason I am considering taking up this position is to push the envelope for Irish football as much as possible.

But in order to do this, I'm going to need your help! (believe it or not, but the guy in charge of research has sanctioned the possibility of me hiring others to help me) I can only gather comprehensive information online about star players, so I'm going to need fans of each club to help with information and ratings (which have randomly generated on some occasions in the past) for virtually EVERY player in the eL.

As an indication of the level of assistance I might recieve, I would ask anyone interested to list their 8 best players in the eL, with the following information: Name, Club, Passing, Heading, Tackling, Dribbling, Shooting, Speed, Talent (1-5), Foot (Left or Right).

So for example:

Glen Crowe, Bohemian
Passing: 5
Heading: 6
Tackling: 3
Dribbling: 5
Shooting: 7
Speed: 6
Talent: 2 (is basically "potential")
Foot: Right

Keep in mind that, "Passing: 10" for example, would be Zinedine Zidane, or "Dribbling: 10" would be Jay Jay Okocha or Ronaldinho. So please try and be as realistic as possible (but feel free to disagree with my Glen Crowe ratings :D).

Thanks,
friseal.

no worries fellas. the preliminary deadline is actually July 1st, but the game will not be released then, and the final deadline is November 1st, so your input will have every chance of getting into the game/s if you get it to me by then.

:)

The chairman of KCFC, Jim Rhatigan (spelling??) works for the www.kilkennypeople.ie so he might be able to help you out. He is a journo and they publish every Wednesday so avoid the days just prior i'd say :)

There are a few Kilkenny fans that post here on the odd few occasions .... post something up in their section aswell i'd say.

Hope that helps !!

Hi Friseal,
From what you're saying, i gather that the eL will defo be in the new FIFA (2005?). If so , i may have to buy it! Will the teams have correct kits sponsors player likenesses, obviously not perfect tho.

unfortunately no jofyisgod, just Total Club Manager 2005...

however it is not yet certain to what extent the fusion between the two games will be...

My thouhts precisely. In short, FIFA (on ps2) is total sh1te. The eL would have been it's only redeeming feature. PRO EVO ALL THE WAY!

At least you can actually make City or your team on there.
What's TCM like? I've never played it, just Cm 03/04 for me.

In the last game you could transfer leagues that were in TCM to FIFA! So hopefully they will have that again!
