Facebook connect?

Just noticed this at the top of the page, what will connecting with facebook do?
Update my status? "tetsujin1979 likes dahamsta's post"?
Add something to my feed? "tetsujin1979 posted a new thread on foot.ie"?

I installed it primarily as a way of allowing Facebook users to register quickly, tbh I have no idea what connecting as an existing member does, but I'd guess what you mentioned above. I don't want to do it as I already publish from Foot.ie automatically and I don't want to dupe on people. So I guess you're the guinea pig. ;)

Yeah, I couldn't resist the temptation earlier and clicked it, then auth'd the FB popup, but nothing happened. Clicking it again did nothing. Refreshing the page and clicking again gave me a page on Foot.ie that asked me if I wanted to link the accounts and/or use my FB avatar, but I ran away then. :)

noticed that I have to click on the connect link when I return to foot.ie, i.e. the login is not retained, is this deliberate?

I registered on GOT.com via facebook and it was dead handy, dont publish from it though.
