I was looking at the arsenal website and they have quite a few young Irish lads.

James Shea
Sean McDermott
Conor Henderson
Steve Smith
Callum Webb
Ben Glasgow

Does anyone know much about these guys?

Brilliant, the next batch of Graham Stack, Patrick Cregg, and Anthony Stokeses.

Just kidding (I hope). Seriously though Arsenal and West Ham have had a serious dearth of Irish players in the past 5 years (going back even further for Arsenal, really). The above three are the only ones I can remember in the 2000's to make a senior appearance**.

I believe Henderson and Shea are the closest to making a breakthrough (Shea especially judging by Almunia, Mannone, and Fabianski).

**EDIT: Graham Barrett made three senior appearances right at the turn of the century.

Is McCashin not with the N. Ireland set up or has he declared for us?

Also Biansumba will probaly declare for the Congo as he was born there and lists them on his profile as his favourite team.

Is Shea definitely Irish? The programme for the FA Youth Cup Final last year said he was London-born (not that that means anything).
