Ticket exchange thread for the games against Paraguay and Algeria on 25 and 28 May in the RDS.

Rules are here (http://foot.ie/threads/51200-Ticket-waiting-lists?p=612751&viewfull=1#post612751).

Don't post "I have tickets" or "I want tickets" if someone has what you want - PM the top person on the list. If you don't, you're liable to lose your place in the queue.

Make sure to post what game you want tickets for what game you want. As tickets are being sold as a package for these games as far as I'm aware, we're operating the one ticket exchange list for both games. If you only want a ticket for one game, you can refuse an offer of tickets for both games and keep your place in the queue.

A week early technically, but it'll be a quiet thread I'd say, so fire ahead.

Well since the capacity is only 18,000 and tickets are not going on public sale id say they'll be scarce enough.

I can offer 2 tickets for each game to both Kingdomkerry and nah nah..... Cost for the 4 tickets is face value of 130 euro for pickup in Dublin (can also arrange a Limerick pickup if that helps or even our game in the Brandywell on the 21st May) or 136 to include cost of registered post. This includes the FAI discount of 5 euro for buying both games (face value is 35 euro each).

I can also offer a further 4 tickets - 2 per person to the next 2 people in the queue. I do need payment in the next few days. Please reply and join the queue but also pm me.

Hi, Is anyone selling Algeria on it's own? I'm wondering is there any other way of getting tickets- Will they be on sale from ticketmaster? I don't suppose so, as block bookers had to buy both matches which is an awful lot of cash to fork out, in a recession. It's worse because both mathes are in the same week, I want to take my 7 and 5 yr olds, one match in a week would be enough for them, considering the price of the tickets...My older son usually gets the schoolboy tickets, which are great...Anyways...sure we'll see what happens...

I doubt if they will be on ticketmaster. I've heard there are only 16,000 tickets for sale although capacity is probably 18,000.

Paraguay would be easier to buy on its own. I'd sell that on its own but not Algeria at the moment.

Hi gspain,
I'll pm you in a few days, as a new member, I think I have to be on here for 5 days before I can pm people..Well, the 9yr old daughter wants to go now too, so I'll be needing 4 tickets or none, as there'll be world war 3 otherwise...it's a lot of money for 1 adult and 3 kids, but it should be a good match...

19/04/2010, 8:58 AM
Seriously - a couple of posts above - max two tickets per game.

Ziani
19/04/2010, 11:26 AM
What? I'm only allowed to buy 2 tickets? Well, I've 6 kids so even with 4 tickets there are 4 people not going- LOL...ah, sure it's a bit expensive anyways, I won't be able to buy for both matches...
If anyone's selling 2 tickets for Ireland v Algeria...
Thanks

Seriously - a couple of posts above - max two tickets per game.

Given the "massive" demand for tickets would you consider relaxing that rule? Appreciate it makes sense for the big games.

Maybe see how the thread goes this week? Earlier in the thread we've a suggestion that it would be a busy one because of capacity.

I'll put him in for 2 + 2, and if the four come in (which hasn't happened yet, so it's not holding anything up), then he can have them.

Don't know how I missed that, sorry. I've updated the list now.

I've one spare for the Algeria game only, so I've offered that to DeNiro as everyone else is offering double-headers or Paraguay tickets.

Did anyone ever figure out how many block bookers there are if they can't even sell out 18k with them?

i dont think the FAI letter made it clear that you had to buy for these matches to keep your BB allocation. i know of at least two block bookers who are away that week and didnt take up their tickets because of this thinking that their BB allocation was safe anyway. i had only heard it via this forum that you were obliged to take the tickets for the friendlies

Our game against Dundalk has been moved to the Saturday because of it (in fact, it was on Saturday on the original fixture list). I'd say others are similar.

I'm pretty sure it was very clear on the letter. I don't have it to hand though.

I thought it was quite clear too. If you weren't sure, surely you'd ring the FAI to make sure.

Tickets arrived this morning BTW.
