Essentially it said that comments about their programmes are recorded in a weekly Audience Reaction Log, which is discussed at the weekly editorial meetings.

How can RTE react to comment about LOI football when they dont show any?

I'ld love to listen in on their discussion tabout the reaction to their live Hockey matchs

Do you honest think EL gets more viewers then the Premiership?

One of the live matchs actually did, believe it or not.

Of course they are not going to get the same figures but they would be way ahead of other sports programmes they show!

I wrote to TG4 about showing the eL. I got a fairly long and informative reply as gaeilge from the Head of Sport.

I dont want to post it up here, but the jyst of what he said was that TG4 want to show as much Irish sport as they can. They entered talks with the FAI about it, but then again we all know the FAI.

He wasnt ruling it out but for now TG4 dont have the resources.

To be fair resources was just one of the reasons they give.

TG4 themselves dont have OBU, they use a company in Ring call Nimeton. AFAIK (a friend used to work with Nimeton) RTÉ, during the GAA championships and elections, also use Nimeton to suppliment their own services. That would leave no/v.few OBU for TG4 to use for soccer.

The Rugby season is over soon. Why cant they use the equipment for football when the Rugby season has finished?

Although im sure its not all TG4 fault. The FAI arent the easiest to deal with and TG4 do seem to be quite an innovative broadcaster.
