coill dubh V naas is pick of the rounds and if naas were at home id prob give them a slight chance so coill dubh to progress for me as its the only
trophy they can win.Bowers will prove the difference. portlaoise V liffey is an interesting game and liffey wont relish a trip down there into the unknown
but they are the senior champions and im sure port will feel they got the toughest draw,ill go for liffey think they will over power them. Castle villa V clane will in my opinion be the game of the quarter finals i can see plenty of goals and extra time deciding it but with home advantage and because they are the holders ill give them this one but only just. Straffen V hotspurs is a great draw for both and both will feel they have a great chance of progressing,its not one you want to watch on paper but it will be a real cup tie and may go to pens,ill take straffen because there will be a surprise and havin beaten kilcullen in the last rd they will fancy this.

Yes you will be hard bet but Coill Dubh will need to be at full strenght. We will be loyal to our Div. and stick with Newbridge Hotspurs.

Coill dubh will give naas chances in front of goal but can they convert them will be key.How gibbo performs against bowers is crucial
and if kept quiet naas will def have a chance at home,but be warned establised senior sides like coill dubh are no kilcocks or clonmullions its a step up
from the prem.naas will need players like burke in goals and bridey to step up to the mark.

liffey coill dubh final is what the league and neutral will want,dont fancy a hotspurs clane one to be honest but clane will have a better chance than hotspurs of getting there.

As a neutral I would love to see Hotspurs and Clane in the final. So to say the league and a neutral would like to see a Coill Dubh V Liffey final would be wrong. It would be a very interesting Poll to see what other clubs think?

Our club would like Hotspurs from our Div. Clane or Liffey in the final. Coill Dubh dont deserve a final the club is no longer the club it was. Clane are too young not enough experience and like ourselves I think gaelic will effect them.

They were at the clane game takin notes ya think they were playin ballymun in the lumsden semi,sure the fact they play in a poor prem div and are managed by sean casey tells ya that they are no good. I dont know some people take the kildare league far to serious.I know a lad that went to watch Timahoe Celtic years ago and was takin notes because his team drew them in some shield now that lad had it bad. Ya i heard coill dubh couldn field a team but find that hard to believe.

It has to be a coill dubh win for me,i siad it at the start of the forum and ill stick by them. But with cup football you just never know look what happened to lifey in the semi they battered clane for 90 mins but just couldn score. 2-1 COILL DUBH

Please tell me that the majority of the squad is made up of senior div players from liffey,coill dubh,castle villa,ballycane ect. Cause from what im hearing its not and if this is the case they will be thumped and embarrased in this years compitition.Also heard that the manager wasnt to be seen at either lumsden semi finals or final and prob wont bother attending the senior final on sunday.

3 and a half weeks to the 1st competitive game and this is the story.

Manager P Byrne hasnt a clue what he is doing.
Training is a joke he had the players running around in kildare town afc in the dark.
League chairman thinks byrne is the 2nd coming of our lord .
Players turn up to train but no coach turns up.
Cup finals pass by but no sign of any of the coaching staff at them scouting.
4 players turn up one of the nights to train.
Training is switched to muddy clane utd grounds with bad lighting.
Players are now playing in 15 a side matches in training.
6 weeks have now passed and still no challenge or trial matches.
Every tom dick and harry are now called into training to build up numbers.
Only 50% of the squad are made up of senior div players,the rest are from the lower leagues as far as div 3.
ITS THE PLAYERS THAT MATTER,AND THEY WILL BE LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER IN THIS YEARS COMPITITION. CANT BUT FEEL ANGERED ABOUT THIS:angry3:

Paul Byrne got the boot from the kildare oscar traynor job. He was never the right man for the job,the way he treated the players during the defeat to the defence forces was a discrace. I said it months ago that the whole set up was a shambles and the league chairman should take full blame as well. I am sayin this now to anyone who will listen and is involved in soccer in kildare, IF CERTAIN PEOPLE ARE LEFT TO THEIR DEVICES THEN KILDARE SOCCER IS DOOMED.
