Blackberry Problems

My useless Nokia for work is banjaxed at the mo and am waiting on eircom mobile to sort it out and in the mean time I dug out my old blackberry to use. For the first day when I put the sim in to it the phone worked fine but now it comes up saying things like "Initialising failed" and "insert sim" .

Anyone any ideas how I can get it to work for me again?

Its really annoying coz have to move work phone sim to personal phone during the day and my mates are going mad at me for not being able to contact me.

Sounds like the connection with the SIM is a bit dodgy, take it out and give it a clean, try clean around the connections on the phone too.

I used to look after the Blackberry's for my work and they're a constant pain in the backside. You could try wipe the device completely if there's nothing vital stored on it?

I wouldn't be surprised if the little SIM card holder is dodgy aswell, they were always giving trouble.
