Alot of rumours flying around that Kenny is favourite to replace Don Givens with Nutsy also mentioned as a candidate.

Very plausable tbh, anyone else hear anything?

Nutsy and the FAI dont get on

Nutsy will be after bigger jobs than that. You can be sure a LOI manager will get it lose the first 3 games and be sacked.

Seeing as Paul Doolin got the under 23 job he might be a candidate? The UCD fans would love that :)

God I love this league, we really are a glass half full bunch aren't we.
Don't really have an opinion on who should get the job but Givens had to go. Read a few weeks back that the U-21's had not won a competive game in quite a few years, think it was 3. Not good for building a winning mentality for progression into the senior team which he always claimed was his brief.

From the morning papers it seems as if it could be an old favourite - Stapleton, Martin. Would be very brave for the FAI to choose a manager from abroad, or promote from the LOI. Stan's looking for a job now isn't he :-)

Pete mahon was advocating Johnny McDonnell at a pats press conference yesterday. UEFA Pro license; previously worked with FAI with u20 side... Wouldn't have rated him as a good coach myself but then he'd only see players for 4/5 days 8/9 times a season, so how much coaching can you do?

Sean Connor - only man for the job. Maybe the Rod as his assistant and media handler

What Pat 'Passion' Dolan? cos its all 'bout da Passion init, those guys out there, they've gotta have passion flowing through their veins, cos without passion you just dont have any passion, no passion for your team mates, no passion for your country, no passion for the jersey, no passion for international competition, no passion for fashion, cos at the end of the day, for a player to make it in this game he just has to have hunger :ttth:

I heard Rob Mc Donald was tipped for it.

Sure he only managed to obliterate UCD's youth system.

What about Rico actually? He'd probably get some results actually

If the FAI were going to appoint a League of Ireland manager Rico would be a good choice. His teams have always played a good brand of football, he has won trophies wherever he has managed and he is very experienced.
To be honest he is the only League of Ireland manager I would put in the frame for it.
