BRIAN KERR has included Cork City’s teenage sensational Colin Patrick O’Brien in his 21-man squad for next month’s UEFA Under-19 qualifiers to be played in Cork. O’Brien, a product of the City FAS course, has burst onto the eircom League scene this season with four goals in nine appearances.

Ireland open their challenge against Latvia at S. Colman’s Park on Monday, November 5. They then meet Austria at Turner’s Cross on the Wednesday before playing Croatia back at St. Colman’s Park on the Friday.

The winners of the mini-tournament go into a two-legged play-off with the winners of that making the finals in Norway next summer.

Tournament fixtures:
Monday (November 5):
Republic of Ireland v Latvia (St. Colman’s Park, 7.30),
Austria v Croatia (Midleton, 2.0).
Wednesday (November 7):
Republic of Ireland v Austria (Turner’s Cros, 2.0),
Latvia v Croatia (Buttevant, 2.0).
Friday (November 9):
Republic of Ireland v Croatia (St. Colman’s Park, 7.30),
Austria v Latvia (Mardyke, 7.30).

Looks like we'll be missing Colin P for the away Dundalk & home game v Pats so?

Suppose depends on home many games he'll play but he might be fit for the bench v Pats.

Apparently he only 1 of 3 from that squad that have played 1st team football.
