It is a bit ironic that he will possibly kick his first ball in anger for the Eircom League Representative Under 21 side .

...Shels requested to meet the payment by league authorities on Monday evening, it remains uncertain whether the debacle will be settled satisfactorily. I thought they didn't have to pay unless Cawley loses the court case.

It is a bit ironic that he will possibly kick his first ball in anger for the Eircom League Representative Under 21 side .He played in their League Cup game against Pats on Tuesday. He set up their third goal with a free kick that wasn't cleared.

How can he play in the League Cup when the court case is not resolved?
Either the Law is an ass or the people running the game are mules of the highest order. And is he still not able to line out in the League?

The high court ruled that he could play for Shels while the issue is being decided. The court also ruled that this wouldn't prejustice the outcome of the court case.

Cawley started against Derry, but didn't do well and was taken off.

Has anyone of the College fans noticed something?

2003... Alan Cawley is in our midfield, College could not score in a brothel with a fist full of €50 notes.

2004... Alan Cawley goes away, we only fail to score in one game.

Now yes I know we got relegated but overall the team is better off following our semi-clearout at the end of last year. A bit of a harsh assessment maybe but I have discussed this one with some of our older more seasoned supporters and they agree, we are a better team this year. :p
