i am looking forward to it as well amazing our first game of the season always seems to be against Waterford. I would say we will have at least 50 but that could easily rise to 70-75. If memory serves me right on average about 60 there or there abouts for the game in the RSC last season. Could be a lot more this year as not far to go and first game of course depends on the weather as well.

Local papers today report that Breener and Wolfie should both be fit for Waterford. Good news.:D Wolfie got a ferocious smack off a Rover's player who ran into him last Friday. Breener also went off in the same match.

Good that Breener is fit. Wolfe was a decent player on Football Manager 2006 for Limerick so...could be a good player for us :D

Disappointing result in Waterford last night in poor competitive match. Wexford started with same team as against Rovers with Packie, Anto, Wolfie, Breener, Warren, Jimmy, Patsy, Shane, Dean and with Gary and Danny up front. Game started fairly evenly for few minutes until Waterford found too much space down our left leaving Sullivan a relatively easy finish against Packie. Warren then got sent off with straight red for two-footed lunge. He might have been a bit unlucky as he appeared to make little contact with either the ball or his opponent. Wolfie then came off looking to have not recovered from his injury of last week and was replaced by Aidan McCann. Game then was poor until half-time with Youths having one chance when a cross by Gary came straight to Danny but he couldn't get his shot away. One-nil at hlf-time.

Waterford started better in second half and controlled the ball more with Wexford chasing shadows. Second and third goals were esentially the same with Aidan slipping over when trying to clear the ball twice and leaving the Waterford forward clear on goal. On the second one, he managed to recover but had to tackle from behind and gave away the penalty which could have been a straight red. On both occasions he might have been better to use Row Z. Game then fizzled out and a lovely shot from a Blues defender which smacked off the crossbar was last highlight of match. Liam Kearney looked class for Waterford while Jimmy Keohane worked his socks off for the Youths. Main problem for the Youths was the defence not operating as a unit as Waterford players regularly found space behind the back four but understandable after Wolfie came off. Next match against Shelboune should give clearer clue as to where we are.
Strange decision of Waterford stewards to keep away cars out of the RSC car-park even though it was half-empty. Not sure what was going on there.

As far as I'm aware FF that is a regular thing with the car park. The ground is owned by the city council, it's their rule, and the club only have dispensation to allow season ticket holders, as well as everyone directly associated with the match on the night, to park there. And for Cup games, internationals and the like the season ticket holders aren't allowed in either. A shame as it is a huge car park.
Have you parked there before I wonder? Cos it seems that there is a window to get in, if you get there before the stewards go on the gates, maybe that's what happened last time?

Thanks, Stann. Been to Waterford several times before for matches and had never been denied entry before on the grounds that we were "away supporters".
