One poster yesterday mentioned the new Cork City FORAS Co-op team that will be playing in the First Division next year and how this would impact the MSL.
But who in the MSL today would make that team?
Give me your top 5.
Mine would be

Ken Howey (Mount)
Noel Hartigan (Dale)
David Spratt (Dale)
Ray Leary (Blarney)
Kevin Mulcahy (Hall)

Not sure if any MSL players would want to go and commit to play with any league of Ireland team nowadays but my 5 would be;

Mark O Sullivan - Dale
Kevin Mull (when he's in the mood) - Douglas
Ray O Leary - Blarney
Alan Weldon - Blarney
Decky O Connell - Douglas

Good shout here. Ken Howey excellent player tbf too though. Conor Meade was one of most talented players i played with. Excellent talent.
Prob a few more Rockmount lads you could add as well - Butt, Ross O'Call both excellent.
Dont know much about UCC this season so couldnt comment on them.
Spratt and Hartigan both excellent too - O'Connell prob get a look in as well being the junior international keeper.
Fella up front for Marys - ex Grattan lad a right handful too.

Kevin Mull (when he's in the mood) - Douglas
- Not half often enough for our liking....

Ken Hoey,
Ross,
Willie Byrne or Noel Hartigan (Doubtful if either would entertain Eircom League Division 1)
Markie Sull
'Keeper - Brendan O'Connell or Podge

1.marky sull (avondale)
2.ray o'leary (blarney)
3.ken murphy (avondale)
4.willie byrne (rockmount)
5.noel hartigan (avondale)

slightly biased towards avondale i know but if i was making out a top 10 i'd fit more rockmount, blarney and the hall in there. a lot of decent players in that premier division, not much between a lot of the midfielders especially.conor meade, david moore, pat keane, aidan o mahony, kev mul, tony tynan, dec o'connell, yelvy, ken hoey, they'd all merit a place in any senior league side. i just feel the likes of ken murphy deserves a place because his attitude and workrate is fantastic along with his ability. john paul o sullivan deserves a mention, hardest working forward in the league along with spratty. eoghan lockheed and dave hackett are two great left backs too, the talent in the senior league is under rated, compare some of the eircom league teams this year to the likes of rockmount and avondale, i'd fancy the senior league teams to come out on top. this should have been a first 11 and not a top 5, too tough a choice.
