Any news on this lad?

Havent seen him in action for the Man U reserves at all for a good while. Is he injured?

He seemed to be making a good deal of progress but has gone of the radar a little now.

Winger Robbie Brady made a welcome return from a lengthy injury lay-off, while forward Joshua King was in outstanding form all afternoon. The 18-year-old pair got the goals that gave a clinical United a 2-0 first-half lead, although both sides had threatened.

For United’s first goal, Brady, who has been out since November with a broken metatarsal, fed the ball to King on the left. The Norwegian forward used his pace to cut inside before scoring from a tight angle to give the Reds the lead. Brady then made and scored the second, drawing a foul in the box after some good work on the left flank, before converting the spot-kick.

i think that answers your question.
hes a very exciting prospect and looks strong

He has been injured for the past couple of months.
Although I have no idea as to the nature of the injury, I believe he is nearing a return to full fitness.

Excellent news! Nice to see some of the top prospects (Clifford, Cunningham and now Brady) making progress in their careers
The game is on Sky Sports 2 if he does make the squad

He's on the bench anyway with Gibson starting. Here's hoping he gets subbed on!

Great stuff. Sounds like he's come back strongly from his injury, captaining our U19s and getting a place on the bench for United. Hopefully he can keep it up.

didn't make it off the bench, Fergie chose to being on Hernandez when they were chasing the game. Hopefully he gets a shot in a later round, or in the last group game in the Champions League

A delegation of friends and family are making the trip to Manchester today in anticipation of Brady's senior bow after the youngster was given an indication that he could be involved.

Ouch. Cue hair loss and pink wheels for Robbie.

Oh dear, are we going to have another Duff on our hands? The poor lad was just back from injury and making fantastic progress. Hopefully it's not too bad, although ankle injuries are sickening.

I wonder if one of the Irish guys at United has had a word with will keane about declaring for us. god knows we need some talent up front and he looks a real prospect.

Will Keane's brother, Michael, has declared for us so I presume that Will was asked, but declined.

Is he the one that said he was going to play for England, when he was a kid??? Something in the 2002 world cup about it and Dennis said he doesn't mind him supportinmg England and that if he declard one day he'd support him (or something to that effect)???

Edit : I see he was in a couple of our under age squads!!

Scored for the reserves against an abject Bury side today. O'Shea laid it on, one of two he set up. Gibson was also playing.

Brady was then sent off 6 minutes into the 2nd half for a lunging tackle and as a result him a Wolves player went head to head - both off

Saw him play for the Ireland u19's in Tallaght last year and wasn't overly impressed with his attitude. He was doing a fair bit of bitching and moaning. You ain't Rooney son!!

First time I've seen him play, and he's putting in a good performance.

Brady played really well. Showed great trickery, delivery, pace, and capability with both feet. Hull should have leveled at the end but Brady was great in the 2nd half (I didn't see the 1st).

Oh, and Billy Clarke is Irish is he not?

Yeah he looked quite good in the first too, played on the left in the first and right in the second. Put in some great balls with both feet and also made a great challenge to deny a 1 on 1 opportunity for Blackpool.

Yep, came on for the last 24 minutes or so. Has had a torrid time with injury and it was his first appearance since April 2010...didn't really do too much to be honest though he didn't have much service.

Yep Billy's yet another talented Cork man. Those Cork lads have some conveyor belt of talent down there.

Ya was impressed with Brady indeed. There was a buzz of anticipation every time he got the ball, he was very positive every time and looked to take his man on. Has great close dribbling skills with his left. Overhit the ball a few times in 1st half but he will fine tune things as the season progresses. The commentators were really speaking highly of him so hopefully he will continue his development and re-assess things at xmas. He will prob stay there for rest of season all going well

I thought so too and was all chuffed but then I heard it was Southern, now Blackpool's site says Clarke. It was a nice little ball over the top but that goal was all about the finish Regardless of what he did its just good to see him playing.

I think he meant it. It travelled WAY too far away from a team-mate's head for it to have been a cross. If he was aiming for a team-mate then it was a shockingly bad attempt!
That's my take anyway.

I agree, when he takes the shot he looks directly at the top corner of the goal and doesn't even look for which players are running in on goal.
