This was a game that I wouldn't have wished upon my worst enemy to watch. Dreadful stop start with more fouls than a dodgy Old Firm match. We matched them physically but in the end a couple of moments of quality settled it. They went one up with a screamer from 25yards on the volley. We then scored with a sublime free kick on the edge of the box from Francis. He followed that with a pen shortly after then a rocket of a volley by Mike Geary. (The less said about the verbal volley that followed the better). We then took our foot well and truly off the gas, Knock took full advantage scoring twice in succession. Francis threw a long ball forward in the last minute and deeds stuck a head on it. We got out of there lively.

Summerville next round will be a good-un.

We owe ye one after the trouncing ye dished out to us two weeks ago so take it handy on us, and hopefully Pike A have an FAI or munster junior game and ye'll have one or two missing.... wishfull thinking........Should be a good game anyway.

Compared to your team who are????

In recent weeks we've played on some of the worst pitches in Limerick and that run is set to continue. We've had to adapt, to cope with teams who play physically and do little else.
At home we're a different proposition. Against Fairview we were missing several first team players and had an off day.
We are a better side than we've showed lately.
But we're still in contention on both fronts.
Says a lot about our character in my opininon.
Think before you run your mouth maybe.

2-2 f-t 2-2 a.e.t . Bruff won 5-4 on peno's

Bruff were leading 1 nil at the break, view were unlucky not to be level as they had a couple of chances towards the end of the half.
There was only one team in it after the restart and view equalised after 5 mins and with a half hour to go they took the lead through a penalty.
You could'nt see Bruff get back into this as view had all the possession and played some nice football at times which was good to see on a shocking pitch. But with 20mins to go Bruff levelled with a penalty only way you could see them scoring really. View kept bombarding their goal but could'nt find the net. With 5 mins to go Bruff were reduced to 10 men. Extra time was the same all Fairview missing chance after chance 4 sitters to be honest just not clinical enough. After missing all those chances the writing was on the wall for peno's.
Bruff progressed scoring all five pens and their keeper made a good save for the last view pen.
A good sporting cup tie best of luck to Bruff in the semi.

Pike winning 4-2 was a hard pill to swallow at the end of the game thought we deserved something. The pike keeper saved a peno and a couple of point blank saves its the same old story just couldn't take our chances and were hit with goals from silly mistakes. Dont like to talk about referee's and all that but he was not interested in the game at all making decisions from fifty yards away but anyway pike will be tough to beat for the teams left in it best of luck to them in the semi.

agreed the ref had no intrest in the game he stayed on the half way line for most of the game and made some bad deicions but dats to be expected from refs it wouldnt be rite otherwise ha

Predictions
These will be two great games I think. Cals have shown great improvement in the last month or so, and we were lucky to beat them 1-0 a few weeks ago. It will be tough for us down there Sunday, but I think we can beat them maybe by the odd goal. Cals 1-2 Pike.

Park have had a great season, and are favourites for this cup to go with their almost certain league title. But.......
Bruff will be up for this like nothing Park have seen and with the GAA boys probably coming out of the woodwork, aswell as home advantage, I'll go for Bruff 2-1 Park.

shocking that teams can use an excuse like that and league switch game !!!... plenty of other teams in different leagues refused games to be changed / switched for better reasons over the season by the wonderful lmdc .. but then again we all know they seem to make up the rules as they go along ..:D

I heard from one of the Park players that Darren Whelan (GK) and Philly Purcell are both out of the cup final. They will be a big loss for Park.
