This weekend coming (ie the Setanta Cup weekend) I'll be stuck in Belfast and probably won't have a chance of getting back to Sligo for the Cliftonville match. Have to try anyway though... Is there maybe a bus i could jump in the afternoon or am I fighting a losing battle here?

I don't think there are any direct public transport routes. They go via Dublin I believe.

your joking right ! Why would a bus going to Sligo from Belfast go via Dublin.
Time to get the map of Ireland out.

Ulsterbus/BusEireann leave Belfast at 3.05 getting into Sligo at 6.55, tight going for the match!

You're going through Enniskillen. So best bet is check Belfast to Enniskillen,

http://translink.co.uk/jp/jpclient.exe?NewQuery=NewQuery

and Enniskillen to Sligo with Bus Erieann.

Because the times don't match up searching Belfast to Enniskillen direct might not be the best bet

Ya ive done it a few times before, Belfast to Enniskillen on that Northern Bus Company then Enniskillen to Sligo on Bus Eireann.
You dont have to go through Dublin, thats just bonkers.

Try a Cliftonville forum and see if any of their fans are running a bus to the game. Probably unlikely but worth a shot.

The only bus that I know of is going for the weekend but try ILS forum. Someone might give you a lift.

Beware, by the time you get to sligo you'll be questioning your mental health if you go with that lot.
