Better chances for Cork meant that they deserved to win 1-0 at Ferrycarrig tonight. Wexford started with Packie, Anto, Breener, McCann, James Cogley (new to me), Warren, Wolfie, Shane, Dean and Gary and Danny up front. Subs who came on duing the match were Pa, Chris Kenny, John Byrne and Lee Aust. Cork inclluded George O'Callaghan, Faz, Killian Lordan, Bisto Flood, Dave Rogers, Greg O'Halloran and Mark McNulty in goal.

Danny had two half-chances early on in the first half with Bisto then getting two, one a one-on-one with Packie who did well to push round for a corner. Ni-nil at half-time.

I thought Cork upped the pace in the second half and got the goal when Wexford tried to play off-side but got caught and the Cork forward ran on to stick it away in the right-hand corner. Cork then mostly dominated aith "Duggie" doing particularly well while Anto Russell (?) had a good volley which McNulty found hard to push away for a corner. Gary then came in from the right but McNulty pushed away his shot. A good save from Pa ended the match.

Wexford looked better than last week mainly due to the return of Breener. Better game from Aidan McCann alongside him and Cogley looked useful. Danny did well with his back to goal. Cork didn't look as advanced as Pats were last week. Small crowd but little advance notice of the match.
