Hickey replaced tierney early on after johns head was cut. Kav Clarke Cahill Stanley Roche McGuiness came on 2nd half Clarke and Kav were brilliant.

Three stitches to his head. Robbie also got a few seconds on the pitch too. Pats dominated the early proceedings as some of the players found the step up a bit much. Settled into things then, there was loads of niggle in the game but only the limerick players were lectured by the ref who had a shocker. Nice limerick crowed up....and it was a pre season game :)

Seems like we got in behind your defence a few times there.

How strong are Pats and how close was that to their full team?

Hard to say at this stage. There were a few changes but it seems that most of the defence who started the game will be our regular starters. Totally new team so will defnitely take time to settle. I didn't get to see the game so can't comment on it

As for how strong we are, i think its all relative. We're not going to trouble Bohs but there isn't too much else out there to worry us. Hoping for mid table and hopefully we can build on that next year. This year's team is likely to be very, very young with only Byrne, Mulcahey and Lynch having more than 2/3 years experience
