Easiest of all away games to get to Ryanair have a huge base their, can fly from Dublin, and a host of UK cities. Vienna is only an hour away with cheap bus and ferry transfers.

Suppose flying in to Vienna would be an option for this place.

It is, although I think Aer Lingus have stopped flying into Vienna from Dublin.

Bratislava is accessible from Vienna, although longer trips from Budapest and Prague would be an option if necessary. For Zilina, Krakow in Poland is almost as far from there as Bratislava.

Loads of options from here, at least 10 buses a day, plus 3/4 trains do the journey too

I got the same Bratislava flights as you eaststand85. I'd recommend looking at Krakow and Prague rather than Vienna as the game is likely to be in Zilnia.

Bit of amess with Ryanair - 3 attempts failed but I still got it for 119 incl t&c. My mates had it for 128 but got errors and it was almost 400 when they tried to re-book. they got Prague for less than 100 incl t&c
so maybe work out for the best.

Look forward to seeing you there gspain, but it was a close run thing as the same thing almost happened to us as your mates on the Ryanair website. We had it at the 119 but then page timed out when tried to complete the transaction, then couldn't get back into the site so thought we were f*cked but thankfully the confirmation e-mail came through a couple of minutes later. The relief!

Landing in Prague is of very little use for a game in Zilina, it's 6 and half hours on a rickety train, (Bratislava is half it). Kosice and Krakow are nearer options and we've never been there before.

Just hope, they don't keep us waiting like the Italians did, to tell us where it'll be played.

Lads, just in case any of you are thinking of flying in to Vienna. The 20% Off Voucher with Austiran Air, which was still working this morning for flights to Yerevan is valid for all flights from LHR. So you could use it for a flight to Vienna also (Skopje is not until June 2011 so the discount should have expired but worth keeping an eye on it). Just had a quick scan and you could get a flight for £100 down to £80 - 4 or 5 flights daily. Might be worth a look to those thinking of going.
