What a joke the FAI really are turning out to be. Rules are Rules but it seems their is one rule for one club and one for another. License submissions were to be made last FRiday and one club hasnt submitted a license application, which sugegsts they do not want one or know they do not comply. but for whatever reason why should every other club bust a gut to get finances in order by last Friday and one that doesnt even bother to submit an application get a stay of grace until Feb 15th, is it beacsue the club is in the high court 3 days earlier.
The club should be demoted or kicked out of the league, nothing else.
FAI had no problem telling us last season cut the budget 3 times or we would not get a license, we nearly lost our manager becasue of it and the FAI couldnt give a ****e if we did or not.
Derry broke the rules, out of football liek a hot snot.
Cork darg the league through the courts, bring the league into disrepute and yet the FAI still await and see what happens down on the Lee.Time for them to go regardless of new owners ofr not.
What precidense is being set by waiting to see what happens with them for future failings of clubs.
Their owner has been expelled by the FAI, the tax man has them in the high court again and whats being done.**** All.

Also whats being doien to promote the new league season, if aliens landed form mars they wouldnt even know a League existed in Ireland never mind have any idea a new seaosn is about to commence in 5 weeks or so.

P.S Would love to know how a club like Fingal who can sign Glen Crowe etc. on big wages can get a licesne witha gate of probably 150 per home game.
Their so called fans didnt even reaslie they got into europe for winning the cup

You talka about why the Premiership has such appeal and why teh LOI cant attract the fans , well satrt looking inot promoting the league NOW not the week before MNS coems back on our screens.

And talke a stand and give Cork the boot and send outa strong message RULES are RULES for ALL.

Spot on, rules are rules, though some take the notion that 'rules are there to be broken'

There is something moving behind the scenes at the FAI and LOI, and for some reason while TNB is getting a tough time, the authorities are scared of him, genuinely, because of his litigious nature. At the drop of a hat he goes to court, he spins the truth and has a perfect partner in RC to back him up. Now that they have complete access to the national media and can twist the heads of a gullible few, suddenly they get what they want. I do hope FORAS get a licence and club into the 1st Division, they can do very well and with a small budget could be a nice midtable side with a good youth set up and links to local clubs. Here's hoping, but I reckon hope took a holiday, along with fair play, decency and ethics.

post should be disallowed for using the LIverpool spelling of Kop IMO

(and I realise where it orginally comes from, but my guess is I'm right with the Liverppol version)

I totally agree.
And we in Bray are in total limbo as to which division we will be in this season (and many would rightfully say that we dont deserve a place in the premier). It wont leave us long to acquire a few more experienced players if the FAI suddenl give us a premier slot!?
Is there a fixture list yet? A league due to kick off in a months time - managers would want to suss out early opposition!
