Dave Hill should hold the reins at St Colman’s Park for another two seasons after signing a new two-year contract to stay on as Cobh Ramblers boss.
Hill’s contract expired at the end of last season, but a new deal has been agreed following dialogue between the two parties. The new contract takes in the 2004 and 2005 playing seasons.
Towards the latter stages of last season, Hill decided to hang up his boots and it is believed that he intends to stick by this decision. Thus, the new deal relates to managerial duties only.
The gaffer is staying on by unanimous mutual agreement. He always wanted to stay and the committee also felt that they had their man.
Even though things went a little pear-shaped towards the end of last season, Hill looks capable of bringing the current squad onwards and upwards.
